Chat fails to load, cpu to 100%, player takes forever to load, constant stutter/buffering, reloading

I've been watching Twitch for 2 years now. When I first started watching, the site worked great. The player worked and chat worked, with the exception of a few days after an update. Then came the new layout. Since then, it's been all downhill. Chat started to cause problems for me so I stopped chatting and used the popout player. Then came HLS. The player started to stutter on 480p so I dropped to 360p. Then came the change to High/Medium/Low/Mobile and my cpu started to get maxed out on Low (360p)! Now, I can't even watch on Mobile setting (240p) without stutter, that is if I'm patient enough to wait 20 minutes for the player to load so I can switch to Mobile. Every time I try to connect to a channel chat fails to load a few times and spikes my cpu to 100% until it finally does connect (usually takes about 2 minutes). Then it continually shows the buffering wheel animation. If I close the chat panel, the player expands out and doesn't resize correctly causing the video to stutter and my cpu to spike to 100% again. After a few seconds, the player tries to reload the stream. I can't even click on the wrench to report an issue due to cpu being overloaded. I have to kill flash or firefox. My OS, Firefox (with no extensions), Flash, and all my drivers are the most recent update and my bandwidth is more than adequate for downloads at 10Mbps (uploads not so much). My hardware is old but it still runs Youtube, uStream, Vimeo, and Justin.tv without problems (although Justin.tv is close to maxing my cpu since their last update). Makes me wonder what you guys are doing on the backend that is eating up my cycles. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks you're using some distributed computing to mine moneybits or some dark voodoo. It doesn't help that you have so many scripts, widgets and trackers coming from God knows where. It would be really nice if there was a "TwitchLite" version that was as streamlined as possible. I might even consider subscribing just for that option. Jason or Aaron, if you see this, know that I don't envy you being the faces on this forum and I mean you no ill will but, ffs, get yo shizz togetha! --PEACE!!!
