The last staff answer I found on this issue was nearly three months ago, stating that they were aware of this problem but had no ETA of a fix.
My problem is that the quality of the uploaded picture to use as the offline image of a stream is drastically lower than what it should be, and I was wondering if this is intended (possibly helps the website somehow by dropping the quality for all images?) and if not, if there was any update on this issue. If it helps at all, I'm noticing that when I access my channel, my offline images are being compressed to a smaller size (in my player, it's 640 width by 360 height) for a few seconds before being blown up to fit the player. Maybe it's possible that the images are being compressed and then blown up to a normal size improperly and that's what's causing the quality issue? Just my guess. Any response on this would be helpful.
