Hey guys, could really use your help please!
Currently I stream from Leicester, England via the Xbox Twitch app through an ethernet cable with my connection at around 66mb down and 6.7mb up (ISP: Ask4). Whenever I stream I get huge lag spikes and occasionally drop frames, I've called my ISP and all they were able to tell me was that I'm getting the correct speeds. Whilst I understand there are many variables involved as to why my connection is dropping, I'm curious as to whether anyone would be able to point me in the right direction of avoiding these frequent performance drops.
Additional info:
- I live in student accommodation, however according to my ISP there is still a surplus of bandwidth (meaning the large amount of devices in the building is not causing congestion)
- Xbox console latency: 152 ms
- PC latency: 15 ms
I'm not too great with the ins and outs of streaming requirements so apologies if I've missed any vital info out! Let me know and I will provide it.
