Hacked accounts at Twitch?

Like many of you, I received that odd notice about unauthorized access to my Twitch account. In fact, I received that notice for both of my Twitch accounts. For my second account, when I tried to login I received a prompt to change my password. I changed it and logged in successfully. However for my main account I never received a prompt to change my password. Okay, so I submitted a password reset request. Two days later and multiple tries and I still have not received an email. I decided to email support and received an email asking me to verify a few questions: What is the username you are inquiring about: Your current IP from whatsmyip.org: Your birth date: What purchases (if any) have you made on the site? Do you have any alternate emails? Easy questions to answer, right? Well apparently one or all of my answers was incorrect because I received the following response: After reviewing the information you provided and checking the account, unfortunately there is no match. We cannot give you ownership of this account at this time. This is infuriating because I was corresponding with the email account that I used to register the Twitch account. This means that somehow the answers to those questions changed. The only possible way that could happen is if the account were compromised. The email address had to have been changed because I never received any password reset emails. In fact, since receiving the notice about unauthorized access which was mailed to the email account I used to create the Twitch account, I have not received any other emails from Twitch to that email account except the support correspondence. Is is too much to ask for a Twitch support rep to check and see when the email address and other personal information was changed on my account, and if it happened in the past 2 days that it's a dead giveaway that the "hacker" changed it? And that if the guy emailing you about the account is using the same email address used to create the account that he is probably the true owner of the account? This has me beyond frustrated and there is no phone number to call and talk to someone at Twitch.
