Numerous misc issues with the site, major video player issue

I'm going to address 3 main issues here and throw a bunch of rapid fire misc issues at the end. In order of priority: 1) The video player permanently suffers a 25% framerate loss after seeking to an unbuffered part of the video. (VoDs) 2) Repeatedly asked to connect my Google account every time I upload a video 3) Useless statistical links in exported Youtube videos breaking URLs, no more recorded dates, tags not being applied 4) Other misc issues --- 1. People have been complaining for quite a long time about sluggish, choppy or otherwise inconsistent framerate on videos. In my case, I have been wondering why my VoDs sometimes had 60FPS and sometimes struggled to even get over 45FPS. While this was usually due to me attempting to stream at 1080p60 (which theoretically 8Mbps should be able to do), I noticed it on my 720p60 video which I'm absolutely positive works without issue. Note: I use FRAPS for monitoring the video framerate. An easy way to see the framerate is to use hardware acceleration and fullscreen the video. Once the player UI disappears you will get the raw video framerate. Take this video for example: http://www.twitch.tv/daowace/b/385559310 In the beginning you can see that it's 60FPS. However, if you seek to the middle of the video, you can see it drops to about 45FPS. If afterward you seek back to the start of the video, it is still 45FPS despite it playing in 60FPS before seeking. It wasn't until yesterday that I discovered this anomaly. Oh the headaches it's caused me until now.. This is either an issue with Flash player itself, or Twitch's video player. I am assuming the latter solely because there was another issue I had in the past where videos were -really- sluggish and choppy when viewing on Twitch, yet after uploading to Youtube they were absolutely fine. I have tweeted at TwitchTVSupport and also sent a bug report, but have yet to receive any response. 2. I reported this issue in the past: http://support.twitch.tv/discussion/5684/site-keeps-asking-permission-to-link-my-youtube-account-despite-it-being-linked It has not been permanently resolved. I don't believe I need to say anything more on the issue. However, there's another issue I discovered after unlinking my account to try and fix the issue. When I click upload on a highlight it asks to connect. I confirm it then fill out the video info. The button at the bottom says "connect and upload to youtube". I confirm, again. It goes back to the video info window and repeats this process indefinitely. I have to fix it by reloading the window; after that it says 'upload' and works successfully. 3. This is 3 issues in one, which I also reported in the support thread I linked above. I will copy a modified version of the text for reference. "It also changed the default description it adds to the videos; arguably into a worse one. It only links the video with useless statistics on the end of it "&utm_campaign=archive_export&utm_source=daowace&utm_medium=youtube" instead of "Recorded live on DATE at TIME. -- Recorded live on Twitch.tv/daowace - http://j-tv.me/URL" The link isn't even clickable anymore due to the statistical additions (and if using something like linkify plus, it breaks in t he middle of 'campaign', corrupting the URL). And if that wasn't bad enough, tags filled out on Twitch aren't being transferred over to Youtube!" Oh, and it defaults the privacy option to 'private' instead of 'public'. Really irritating to keep changing it every time. Again, I don't believe I need to say anything more on the issue. 4. Video streams end earlier than they should. Seems to be anywhere from 3-12 seconds. 4a. Channel backgrounds become transparent and lightened to the point where it's pointless to even use them. 4b. Consistency issues across the new layout vs old layout. 4c. While editing video options, the title is able to be scrolled out of view with no way to control it, makes editing videos (titles specifically) a hassle. 4d. Defaults to highlights instead of past broadcasts, forced to use "?kind=past_broadcasts" to direct people there. 4e. Chat takes a long time to connect for no apparent reason, even on channels with no viewers; can time out completely if user count is in the tens of thousands. 4f. Pages loading in the background sometimes have buttons overlapping themselves, requiring a page reload to fix. 4g. Long bio descriptions are now useless due to the new layout; no one can see them anymore. 4h. Short bio descriptions are only on the old video list page; which I assume will eventually be retired, though I don't see any reasonable replacement for that page anywhere. 4i. HTML removed in favor of markdown; now cannot control colors, provide individual graphical links in a structured layout, or structure the layout at all quite frankly. Also breaks hyperlinks entirely for things that we don't use markdown for. Essentially, it's just bare text and individual images in a preset layout.
