Lagging horrible when watching streams

all this tracert stuff doesnt proof anything. after between 9 and 12 tries twitch servers just stop responding because the request is non sense and they filter "spam" (imo). i had issues watching a stream like 20 minutes ago. so i googled and came here. now the stream (30k viewers) works flawless without refreshing, flushing dns or anything, it just works. meanwhile the stream is working its not possible to me to tracert live.twitch.tv more than 9-12 times. to me it seems that at peak times twitch is just under too much pressure and the servers handle some people good (no lag) and most other people bad (lag) until twitch servers notice they are overload and route traffic differently, dunno if automatically or admins change routes. i know this thread is about 1 month old, but that is pretty much where you land by googleing " twitch lag ", so i just wanted to give you my opinion. btw i have pretty "bad" connection with 3k internet (360 kBytes down/ 50 kBytes up) still i am able to watch 720p+ streams flawless, unless the bitrate is way above average. in future i would love if twitch would add an "automatic" button where it checks your max bandwith and chooses quality for you. while writing this the stream started lagging again :/
