I've recently started having issues while watching past broadcast videos. I'm running a recently upgraded gaming computer I built myself, Chrome browser on Windows 8.1. (full specs available on request) The videos buffer so slowly I encounter a lot of pauses. Additionally as time goes on it seems like the video demands more and more resources on my machine until the browser slows waaaay down - this includes taking multiple seconds to exit full screen, video pauses while sound continues, etc. Restarting the browser/video are the only way to resolve this.
My system resources (memory and cpu) spike dramatically according to Chrome and Windows Task Managers over time as the video plays...say around 30 plus minutes. The culprit seems to be Flash player, but I'm not sure.
I have a 20 mbps internet service and tend to meet or exceed that. Other video services like YouTube and Netflix work without issue. It's just Twitch playback and/or Flash player that seem to be at fault.
Anyone else having similar issues? Know of any fix?
