Why is Twitch encouraging the use of ad blocker by playing ads that require the clicking of an 'x' button to get to the next ad/stream?
The only reason that anyone would think it is a good idea is if people actually click shit when they're watching something. I mean, I personally watch the stream while doing other things on my second monitor. So my mouse is either locked to another window because I watch a stream while I play something, etc.
I just don't think it's good to encourage people to deny you money, but I haven't studied business, or economics. So maybe there's some hidden profit on free ad blocking addons.
Sarcasm aside, what is the reasoning behind the choice to actually use these ads. I hate using ad blocker, really hate it. I know that just myself watching one ad doesn't really do much, but people usually play ads during the down time so it doesn't cost me anything and it benefits them. At the very least it benefits the provider. So the logic is piss off less people = less people use ad blocker = free money = easy game, easy life.
